Working Together with Families
Marriage Database
Working together with the applicant’s family members is of great importance. This will ensure transparency in the process between all involved and allow for a harmonious movement from one phase to the other.

Family members play a vital role in one’s life, specifically parents, so we encourage they be involved at all times where necessary and appropriate. In the case of a female applicant, no steps are taken without the permission of the male guardian.

Allah mentions numerous times in the Qur’an the good and kind treatment of parents;
“And we have enjoined upon man goodness to parents.”Qur’an 29:8
“And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age (while) with you, say not them (so much as), ‘uff,’ and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.”Qur’an 17:23
“And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning (period) is thirty months. (He grows) until, when he reaches maturity and reaches (the age of) forty years, he says, ‘My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to you, and indeed, I am of the Muslims.’”Qur’an 46:15
We ask that applicants involve family members in their quest to find a spouse where and when necessary in order to seek guidance and help through them. We also hope that this will increase the blessings of Allah upon us and the applicants involved.
